For Poll Everywhere we had created a question that we wanted to know more about our peers. Then we had our peers answer these questtions. After the question was answered we created a wordle with the answers to the question. The wordle creates an image of all the answers in a fun way.
As wanting to be a Kindergarden teacher I would love to use wordle to make it a more fun way to learn. I could use wordle as a vocabulary words. Or where I'm from they call them "sight words" for Kindergarden students. Here, I could post their vocabulary words into a wordle and then have them look at the words and write the words down into catergories such as colors, numbers and such. This way I can see they completely understand the word.
The use of wordle has a connection with ISTE NETS-T Standard 1 because it is taking the material you have taught into a collaborative tool to see that the students have a conceptual understanding and creative process of the material taught.
Using Poll Everywhere in your classroom has a connection with ISTE NETS-T Standard 2 beacause this way you can have every child participate without being embarrassed because of not knowing the answer. It can also help others learn in a different way by seeing other students responses and understand the question more. It also helps students understand how to answer questions through technology, or even find different resources other than the book.
Both of these tools can promote learning in the classroom because its a different way to come about your material and more interactive for students. Its not the boring book or sheet of paper you passed out. They will be more engaged because its hands on.
